2004,30K mls, over serviced. Smoke and oil out of the back, no power, cut out.

Lots of oil out of the exhaust too.

Dropped a valve? Ultimate Riding Machine!

Just South of Le Mans

I am in Campanile in Le Mans waiting for evaluation by the breakdown outfit tomorrow.

I got towed off the Autoroute into a garage, they were talking of moving the bike to another garage and then to a BMW dealer.

They will diagnose the problem, quote for repair. Oh, really... and if the repair can be repaired with my scheduled return to the UK repatriation of the bike may hang in the balance....

I am buying Jap next.

They can melt... They can drop a valve.... If you take the spark plu out sometimes you can push a screw driver through the hole... We're you getting any pre detonation pria to Big Bang?

High revs, long duration motorway run.

The result of a lean running engine I think and another reason to remap with Hilltop IMHO

It has a Power Commander(fitted by Dynajet in Lancs), no CAT and a BOS can. I understood Dynajet mods enrich fueling.

It has been over serviced since new in '04. Only 30K mls. Always carefully warmed up.

I do not rev the nuts off it or hit the rev limiter.

Riding off and riding a a Honda Jazz driver initially..

I am home now, bike is still in Le Mans. The breakdown outfit are taking it to BMW.

I await their call. I just want it back here to sort it out.
