Me again (sorry). I'm trying to get all my parts ready for powder coat, including the front timing cover.

Has anyone got a tip for pulling out the engine position sensor on top of timing cover? The bolt came out fine and the sensor turns easily in its housing but it just will not pull out.

if the front cover is off and you are not happy pulling and twisting the sensor then try pouring a kettle of hot water over the casing and then twist and pull gently (hopefully)

Thanks for the tips, I'll have a go. Its certainly well stuck. I'm scared of breaking the sensor

I got it out with a spanner on edge on each side. Equal force eased it out. The corrosion discussed elsewhere had left a rough lip above the O-ring.
It's now cleaned up and off for powder coat.
New seal on order.
