Dear All,
I'm a new to the R1200GS, I've only covered 200 miles on my new bike, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. However which options are open to me when looking for engine protection as I intend to ride it off-road, gravel tracks etc. I have looked at Wunderlich who sell the standard engine protection bars and the valve cover cylinder protectors.
I have seen footage of the GS Adventure with a cracked cylinder head fitted with engine bars. So I'm inclined to opt for the cylinder protectors, both would be best I suppose but I'm keen to hear from other boxer engine owners who have fitted aftermarket protection as to their thoughts on this matter.
thanks in advance
Mark
