Hello guys,
I am loving my first BMW bike, GS1200 triple black.
I was worried about the weight and suspension because all my bikes had been ducatis and GS1200 looked pretty heavy.
However, it is not heavy like I expected at all!! It is very easy and fun bike too!!!

I am even using it everyday for commute too!!
Here, Sao Paulo, has pretty bad road conditions in city and GS1200 has been perfect!!

One thing started bothering me is that people telling me that using gs1200 for commute is wasting money!!!
Do you guys think so too?

I have two other options, Bonneville T100 and VESPA GTV300.
I had them before and loved them both!! Of course, vespa will make more sense with GS 1200 but the thing is that their price is same here in Brazil.
Actually, vespa is little more expensive than T100. That is crazy.

What would you recommend?
1. just stick with GS1200 and ride it everywhere like it is built for.
2. Get Bonneville t100
3. Get Vespa GTV 300

If you are happy commuting on the 1200 who gives a shit what others think!!!!

And if it costs 3.5 cents a day more than running a Vespa, what price enjoyment!?

Just enjoy the ride, hope your weather is better than ours at the moment!!!!

That's true.
I was just worried that i am treating the bike worng. The bike is supposed to be adventure bike and I am using it 90% for commute. It can be like guys who buy ducati super bikes and only ride in the city, which is ok too but kinda pity for that bike.

Dont worry what other people say or think, if you enjoy riding it, the bike suits your roads, it is reliable and safely gets you to and from work each day, keep using the GS. Thats what it was built for.:thumb

Use it as you wish, its your bike, I have 3 bikes in the garage and I use my 2006 GS1200 ADV everyday to commute to and from work, for pleasure at weekends and touring holidays.
It takes everything I throw at it in it's stride, ignore the hecklers and enjoy.
