Does anyone know which programme opens .eps files? We have received an e-mail attachment today at work from a customer in Holland which we can't open. Ideally a free download would be good if anyone knows where to get one.

TIA

.eps

Photoshop i think.

It is possible to save an image/photo in photoshop as a photoshop eps which then is saved as (image).eps

If you dont have photoshop send it to some one who has, ask them to open it resave it as a jpeg (.jpg) and then return it.

Photoshop is an expensive software to purchase.

If you want to send it to me i will try and open it for ya.

pm me

EPS = Encapsulated Postscript File.

Just did a test... Photoshop will open it but also Microsoft Word seems to be able to handle it.

Most likely it has been created in Abode Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand or even Quark.

I'm guessing its a logo or some kind of design work.

As mentioned above Photoshop will open it but you won't be able to do any editing.

You could ask them to send it again as a PDF and then you can open it in Acrobat which you're very likely to have already.

If they can't send me a pm and I'll sort it for you.

Thanks fellas.

Decster, I have Photoshop 7 at home so I may e-mail it home tonight and try it there. :)

MasterDabber, I tried to open it in Word with no success, just a whole lot of gobbledegook. Thanks for the suggestion though. :thumb
