I'm due an upgrade with vodafone - but which phone :nenau
I know nothing about mobile phones but I do know what I want...
It needfs to have a decent camera, storage for photos/video, good talk time, not easily damaged by taking in and out of biking jacket, able to work abroad..thats it really. I've no need for music or games or internet.
I've noticed a nokia with GPS - does using GPS cost anything?
Any advice gratefully received :thumb

Using GPS doesn't in itself, it's the mapping that does cost, and it can be quite a lot 'cos obviously the maps take up a lot of bandwidth.

You can get deals with unlimited data including mapping for GPS though- but do check the smallprint.

Don't forget you can change providers easily and still keep your number- and swapping very often gets you a better deal than upgrading.

Whatever you go for, get a quote on the same phone from Orange or O2 and throw that back at Vodafone- I got an offer of an upgrade from Vodafone two or three weeks ago that I then got knocked down by over a third by calling back and forwards three or four times...I told them exactly what I was doing and that they had to match the other provider's offer and they did each time (although in the end I got a deal from Orange that Vodafone just couldn't match)
