Ermax screen for R100GS

I have one but to be honest its not much cop. A fair bit of turbulence from the top of the screen at M-way speeds (I'm 1.8m) plus the mounts dont have the ratchet teeth of the original and so it works back after a while. I fixed it in position by making wood pegs to put in the screen slots. These stop it from blowing back. I used it in winter as it does give more weather protection but come summer the std screen goes back on. I also look through the screen as its taller which is not so good in the rain at night.

Ermax screen on my GS seemed to take pleasure in aiming all the bugs and stuff right onto my visor. Made me slow right down in the hotter months as I couldn't see where I was going.
I also had to prop the screen with a rubber bung to stop it reverting to the lowest position. Have a standard screen now, which suits me fine - I'm 5' 11" - I was born pre decimalisation you see.

I have a brand new one in the box, it as very slight mark on it, bought it from a BMW dealer but now looking at fitting something else.

i took the ermax screen of my gs as there was to much wind buffeting and just run it with out one

Am 6ft 2, I fitted this extra bit and it made all the difference.
