the engine was running only one cylinder, one of 3 cables of the spark plug connector where broken so "welded" it back, works perfect now but have service messages in the display, what does it mean?

06-20 11

is it possible to buy just the connector and reapply the cable, with a tool?, or is just a complete cable set available? is there a microfiche somewhere?

half a mile on one cylinder the catalyst and exhaust is glowing orange so it seems no good running on one cylinder, is there a way to disable catalyst to drive longer on one cylinder if in the middle of nowhere, half a mile wont help much then...

hI..
When you say 'welded' what do you mean? Did you solder the wires together??
Where was the break? I can only imagine that the fault indicator will be lit ifif you've somehow altered the resistance value of the wire ...

The catalyser - no, it's not removable so you can't get round it that way - I'm assuming that glowing downpipes is not a good thing ... were you working it very hard just on the one cylinder?

did not know the word for solder, solder is correct.

the break was as close to the sparkplug as you can get, see now that is says 06xxxx date so the service computer perhaps got a little lost about dates etc. so no worry

well it seems not a good a idea to run with one cylinder only, and no quick fix for doing so...., the catalyser gets to busy with to much fuel in the exhaust..., but looks cool :thumb

it was glowing from catalyser and backwards
