Left work tonight with a yellow warning triangle on the dash. Stopped, turned off and restarted and still there. ESA warning

No suspension, rock hard ride but I'm on the way home so a bone shaking 31 miles while I thought about how the fook I'm going to get to Waterloo in the morning.

Got home and looked at shocks and no leaks or damage, all cables appear intact. Put key in ignition and turned it on and no warning  ESA scrolls through the settings again :blast will see how I fare in the morning

Anyone else had this? :nenau ECU glitch? :nenau Will get it to NOG at some point to get it checked but just glad I don't have to get the train in the morning :D

Mine did a similar thing a few months ago, stopped for a brew while out when i restarted the the yellow triangle of doom was lite. Ignition was turned on and off a few times made no difference left it for 20 minutes or so went back and all was ok, has'ent happend since but it will be mentioned to the dealer at next service.

Happened once - was close to my dealer so popped in and they reset it. No problems since :thumb

Yep had exactly the same happen to me, but all seems fine now, it has never "gone" again despite me doing nothing to it :)

I never got a warning light, but before I flogged it the esa was playing up. It would regularly drop out of two up mode whilst riding even though the dash display was still showing two up. I'd have to stop, put it back to one up, then back to two up. (Then at some point in the day it would drop out again ... ).

Sorry, I don't want to come on here and bitch and moan, and I wish you all well with your GS's, (I genuinely do ... ), but boy, I am just so pleased with my 1190R .... (non electronic suspension, just very good quality WP manually operated ... )

So not an uncommon glitch :D

I will keep an eye on things. With the triangle of doom lit up I was unable to scroll through the settings due I guess to the fact it was disabled :nenau

Just glad I don't have to get the train :D

Cheers guys :thumb2

I didn't know you sold your GS :nenau:P:JB

Did you not??
Shall I tell you all about it .. :)

No software controlled system is perfect and software bugs can show up in the most unexpected ways - it's just the way it is. As long as they always fail safe and a simple re-boot fixes it then we just have to get used to it. Testing and proving software is virtually impossible so bugs are to expected and manufacturers fix them when they crop up.

am kinda glad that I chose to go non-esa.

I have a set of Ohlins front and rear on the way, specced to my weight. Hoping this make the bike perfect

Yes had same in Pyrenees on the trails. Switching everything off and back on with the key sorted it. I had been riding it like it was stolen on the trails though.
