Hi Gents,

So the GSA TE on its way and looking to see what essentials I need for it when it comes.

So far have the GIVI Monokey 52L back box, bracket and backrest.

Got variety of security chains locks already.

New lid - natch ;) - on its way and coms set ... I figure BMW should have their system at least a little better by the time the bike comes.

So I am thinking of

-Kickstand larger base plate
-Tank protectors either sticky plastic or pads?
-Engine front cover i.e. the part facing the front wheel - I am not sure the mud-slings etc help much ?
-Navi VI ... not sure if essential but obviously a nice (expensive) add on - obv only if this works well with coms
-ACF50 or BiltHamber Dynax (https://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-protection-and-rust-treatments/dynax-uc)
-iPhone case / holder ?

anything I've missed - I am talking essential here rather than "nice to have"

Surprised not found a "bucket list" of extras listed here yet - unless my searching skills suck.

Cheers
Steve

Nothing is essential! The bike is perfectly serviceable as it came out of the showroom. That said it is fun spending your families life savings on extras to make your 'steed' even more rugged and capable of those hard core trips to Tesco (other shops are available)

Enjoy your new bike :thumb2

Mudslings are a must if you do not fit a rear one in particular the whole rear end of the bike gets plastered in shite in rain / poor weather

i do lot of off road/trails around wales.europe smugglers pass and tunnel du papillion reccomend engine cover/protectors as crash bars wont protect b cylinder head covers.im saving for the massive skid pan @ present also jus fitted hex ezcan plus lights n horn not essential but like toys ect lol

Radiator guards, mudslings and sidestand enlarger are most basic add ons. After that, the world is constrained only by your wallet.

Front fender extender
mudsling
frame infill panels
nav V is enough
auxiliary power source for charger airman pump etc
get a remap at hilltop
rad guards

In my opinion, the essentials for a new GSA are...

- Anti-pinch pin, mobile chain and lock security
- Ground Anchor at home
- Radiator Guards
- Neoprene Chain-Stay protector on Centre Stand
- BMW NAV VI
- Mudsling front and rear guards
- Side Stand Extender
- Tank Protection Pads
- Engine Head Protection
- Optimate Maintenance Charger

Nice to haves are listed...

- Roadlok Caliper lock
- Xscreen Windscreen Deflector
- Headlight Guard
- Front and Rear Cameras
- Hex EzCan and Additional lights front and rear
- Frame Protectors
- Givi Hand Guard Extenders
- Akrapovic Exhaust & headers & Hilltop Remap
- OBDLink MX and Motoscan App to diagnose, read codes and reset service indicators
- BMW Off Road School Course

Fuel. Lots and lots of it. And patience because trying to filter on a GSA it akin to parking an A380 in Tesco’s (other supermarkets as JerseyNeil has highlighted are available).
