EU trying to stop mods

In case you haven't heard the EU are trying to stop people modifying bikes. Here's a petition against you can sign and pass on:-

I find it extremely galling. The manufacturers are probably delighted as you'll have to pay high prices for 'approved' options but it'll hurt a jobs and businesses in the EU and UK. They don't seem to be applying it to car drivers.

Another worrying aspect is the mandatory ABS with no off switch business. Not good if you ride off road. And...... being mandated to wear dayglo - bloody liberty. At least bikers only tend to injure themselves.
