Hi folks,

Could anyone tell me the difference between the Euro 3 and Euro 4 HP Akrapovic for the r1200GS? I have a Euro 3 on my 2017 R1200GS Rallye, they look the same so thought it must be internal.

Thanks

Ok, so Euro 3 would be the best option then? If you want to remove the baffles that is.

Yes indeed, cheaper for the same result... I've done it myself.... Dealer said loads of his customers have done it...

Enjoy.

I'll try taking the baffles out one day....

Excuse my stupidity, what’s the forked inlet pipe?
Why would anyone go for the Euro 4 can then?

The pipe stub which connects to the headers splits into two before it goes into the can. Judging by the colour it goes, it's titanium.

See here...

What's odd is that says it's Euro 4. A chum has a carbon Euro 4 Akro and it doesn't have the forked inlet. I have his old Euro 3 titanium can.

Here's a Ti can on a Rallye that doesn't have the forked pipe.

Thanks All, I’ll be removing the baffles as soon as it’s delivered! From what I can gather baffles or no baffles the sound is not very loud anyways, seems a tame can for an Akrapovic, but looks good!

As I have mentioned before I have 1 baffle in and 1 out doesn’t make it too noisy even for long trips
