Euro 4 engine

That's not strictly true

I coated my original engine repeatedly with FS365 and sadly it didn't prevent the bubbling under the powder coating :blast

In which case I stand corrected!

I'm on my 5th LC Boxer, and every one is sprayed with FS-365 after jet washing and none have suffered with any corrosion, perhaps I've been lucky...or maybe you have been unlucky.

After the initial concern the dealer has informed me that although Euro 4 the engine will still be mapped as my Euro 3 one is currently, so no change to power or delivery,

Does that mean that the new engines response, power and emissions is determined by which ECU you have on your bike ? So in your case just by keeping your existing ECU makes the engine a Euro 3 ?

Apparently so, that and my Euro 3 exhaust (although now have an aftermarket pipe). We will see once it has been changed...

Looking forward to your next report after you have ridden it, and again after you have run it in and ridden it with purpose!
