Has anyone got a backup copy of Europe City Select software V 6.0 or 6.5 (not the update) for my Garmin GPS V that I could borrow?!
I have misplaced the CDs....

thanx,

jonathan.

Call Garmin - they'll send you the CD's F.O.C. Assuming you still have the unlock code relevant to your unit you'll not have any problems.

As it's for a V I'd recommend getting hold of version 5 if you can as the maps are smaller in memory and split into smaller chunks making selection that much easier. 5 is also better than 4.

Adam,

thanx for the tip....I've already contacted Garmin via email regarding update to V7 (I heard rumors that there is some more detail of Greece on there) to no response so far. So perhaps its best that I phone them.....

Are the map chunks smaller in V5 than they are in V4? that might help to get the whole of london in there....:)

thanx again,

Jonathan.

TBH I can't remember but 5 is definitely more efficient than 4. When I had my V I had most of London loaded (I dropped off Surrey and the M25) and the strip of maps up to and around Cambridge so all of London shouldn't be a problem.

In v.6 the whole of London takes up 20.8 Mb so you would have to drop off one of the corners (NE, NW, SE, SW) to get under 19 Mb.
