Europe Unpaved taster

Great report, its good to see the 100GS holding its own.

Glad to see you are still pushing the envelope Louis.

(We were in Morocco last October - remember me, on the 1150GSA ?).

Bob.

Absolutely fabulous stuff! Appears I don't need to go to Bolivia for some off-piste stuff after all!

Any chance of a GPS route - evn an old paper map thingy would be appreciated.

Absolutely fantastic pictures and write up, don't like the look of those bridges though

Look forward to seeing more pictures and the write up :thumb2

Missed this the first time around.

Looks like a fantastic trip ........ great skills and a lot of balls.:bow

Fantastic and thanks for sharing and Garry and Louis :clap:clap:clap

PS How come you didn't take the 640 ? Took much road stuff in between the rough?

Hi Rushy

The 1200 was great 90% of the time only 10% of the trip did i wish i had brought the 640
The 1200 is very good on the unsurfaced roads even with road tyres in the dry

If i was doing another trip like this again i would take the 1200 (yes its great on the road miles that you have to do on a trip like this) but take along a set of TKC and change them along the route

I think the unsurfaced roads we did were the limit of " me " riding the 1200. So if i planned to ride more challening roads (which there was lots) i would have to take the 640

1200 Great for this

Hard on this but a big sense of achievement that may not be there riding the 640

Garry and me will be doing a full report soon :thumb2

You are a lucky man having both Louis . I am very keen to try/buy a 640 Adv but a good one is going to cost £4k + and I can't justify that much on a second bike . Therefore the GS would have to go and I just know that I would miss her too much :tears

Lookin' forward to the book and DVD :thumb

Ok

There are those that talk about Adventure and those that that do it.

Total respect.

THAT's what I call an Adventure :bow look forward to the rest of it
