where in Bulgaria did you ride?
we stayed on main roads , from Varna , headed towards sofija , then up to Romania towards the ferry crossing on the river danube

We rode main roads minor roads and dirt roads

We used the ferry across the Danube

Mostly lorries

I am going on a simular trip may this year
A few weeks later this time because i would like to ride these that were blocked by snow :blast

This road in Montenegro looked like it turned into a cracking track a bit further along

This one in Romaina looked like it should be about 40 miles long and dirt most the way

But this time i will be 2 up on my 1100

Should still be able to do a fair bit of off roading though
The 1100 proved pretty good 2 up with lugage in Morocco last year

And when the going gets tricky Kay can always walk

A great ride on the Danube

like ye say its amising how many lorries they fit on that barge, n theres no safety rails , ye wait just a few feet from the water...

ye go to the front on bikes and get a great view, of the river
the lorry parked next to us was a Bulgarian Heavy metal fan he was playin Metalica "Enter the sand man" on the truck sound system , it was surreal... :toungincheek
