Hi Lads, following a near miracolous string of events and an embarrassment in terms of brownie points I find myself in the position to hit the European mainland for 2 weeks, Romania is the target and every place between here and there.
To ensure the arrival and safe return of my new old steed I need to purchase some cover. Adelaide will only cover me in Ireland and the UK. So has anyone got any suggestions?

Two weeks Tom ? Ya musta been very good :friday

Hope ya enjoy it, let us know what Romania is like :aidan

I can't help on the breakdown cover - mine comes with my Carole Nash policy
But I use worldwideinsure.com for travel insurance. Luckily I haven't found out how their payout / repatriation is but the policy seems comprehensive, it's (relatively) inexpensive & they cover you for bikes over 250cc :thumb

Used green flag a couple of years back was around £42.00 for a 10 day policy.
Fortunate enough not to need them thou.

A friend of mine joined ADAC (the German equivalent of the AA).

http://www.adac.de/

They are a partner with AA in Ireland meaning if you break down in Ireland its the AA that will come out.

They cover Morocco and Turkey as well as the rest of Europe, all for nearly half the price of joining the AA.

They also have English speaking operators.

Breakdown cover

What about Carole Nash?
I had a breakdown in Bulgaria in 2012 and a blowout in France 2013 and on both occassions they did what was expected of them!.

I have Carole Nash for the bike, but ADAC for the car. It might even cover bikes as it covers the driver, not the vehicle.
