New Season Launch - Preview Evening Friday 18th March @ 7:00pm

Balderston Motorcycles are delighted to announce that Julia Sanders will be our special guest at our New Season launch on Friday 18th March.

Julia Sanders is Co-Founder of GlobeBusters Motorcycle Expeditions. Together with husband Kevin, their overland motorcycle adventures started back in the late 90s on a 1989 R80GS. In 2002 and 2003, they achieved two Guinness World Records for global motorcycling while based in Cambridge and sponsored by Balderston Motorcycles.

In 2004, Julia rode the Trans Americas for the first time on an F650GS Dakar. Wanting to share the passion of motorcycle travel in unusual and far-away places, setting up GlobeBusters was the obvious next step. Since its inception, Kevin & Julia have led riders on the 20,000 mile ride from Alaska to Patagonia (The Trans Americas) on three separate occasions.
As well as other adventure rides in South America following the Dakar Rally and in the Footsteps of Che Guevara. The Trans Americas was featured on National Geographic Channel in 2007. Their latest projects have been to lead 12 riders from London to Beijing via Tibet and Everest Base Camp and Kevin is currently leading 30 motorcyclists on an eight month Around the World Expedition!

With even more amazing adventures on the horizon - how about London to Sydney in 2012 or London to Cape Town in 2013?! – There’s plenty of travel tales and advice to be had!

Julia Sanders will be chatting about how Kevin and her first got started, lessons learned in adventure travel, about the riders experiences on a GlobeBusters trip and showing some great movie footage from the expeditions including never seen before footage of the London to Beijing team in 2010! Just what is the road like to Everest Base Camp?! Could you ride it?

There's plenty here to see and hear about all aspects of touring.

In addition, Blacks the Nationwide camping and outdoor specialists will be on hand with a selection of tents, sleeping bags and other touring goodies aimed at the motorcyclist.
