Anyone going to the bike show this weekend at Event City Manchester or if you have been before whats it like :nenau

Yeah I`m going....went last year too.
The show is the former custom show combined with classic and road stuff, which they did for the first time last year.
I really enjoyed it as it wasn`t the usual plastic fantastic glossfest of endless dealer stands with current models on display only stands.
There were some amazing custom bikes and scooters,a varied and interesting selection of traders, numerous display type stands,as well as a trials riding display,a couple of live bands and overall I thought it good value for money and worth going to (some folk moaned about there not being much to see but they missed the link corridor to the second hall).
The totty count was incredible too....ahem.

I was meant to be displaying my Russian Vyatka scooter on the Cossack Owners Club stand like last year but it`s not yet registered and I can`t get a reasonable price on van hire....so I`m just going on Sunday as part of the hoi polloi.

We are going on sunday, but looking out of the window looks like it will be on 4 wheeels:D

Very cold at Manchester show today spent a bit of money on goods lots of nice things on show love the new 1200 gs in blue

love the new 1200 gs in blue

Worringly,so do I.
Well,I love the colour at least....the rest of the bike is a visual assault.

On arrival at Event City,I hadn`t even had chance to remove my helmet before some pointy headed tin pot Hitler shouted 'You can`t park there, mate'.
I replied that evidently I COULD because I just HAD.
And pointed out that quite apart from me not being in anyone`s way or blocking any actual or potential access to any point of the site whatsoever, there was several dozen bikes parked all around where I had stopped.
"You`ve just arrived" ,He bleated.
I asked him what the feck difference that made to anything, and after a thoroughly satisfying asking of him if he had nothing better to do on a freezing cold Sunday,he and his dayglow clad hunch backed, boggely eyed twat of a sidekick started ranting about the other bikes getting tickets and fines 'Because there was also an angling show on' at the venue.

He wasn`t capable of processing or dealing with the questions about how the other bikes and mine would be perfectly okay if there WASN`T an angling show...so I rode off and actually did myself a favour because I ended up right outside the entrance to the hall the bike show was in. :thumb

So...excepting the typical tin pot British Jobsworth welcome,I thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Met up with the other Russian bike nutters on the stand (blagged a couple of free coffees instead of getting SHAFTED for a £2.20 at the stalls).
Bought a few bits of bling for one of my Vespas, and some tee shirts and badges.

And..ahem...leered and letched admirably at the totty fest. :P ;)
