Hi,

Anyone have the Evotech Handlebar Offset Risers with a SW Motech Pro GS Tank Bag fitted to the GS1300?

Wondering how you find both, and whether there are any clearance / compatibility issues?

Any real-world experience of either item would be good to hear.

Cheers.

Hi Fiddlesticks

I have the Gilles bar risers (which are 20mm up and 20mm back) not Evotech but have no problem with using the SW Motech Pro GS Tank Bag on my GS1300.

It is conceivable that on full lock, if the bag was absolutely stuffed it could interact with the switches on the bars - but in real life use I can't see how it could happen as your hands are going to contact first. Not a problem for me anyway.
It fits well and can hold a ton of gear if you want it to.

Only reservation I'd have is if they're planning to bring an all weather Water Proof version out of the GS bag - that would be better.
But assume if they did that it wouldn't be expandable.

Might be a bit tight. There's room for up, but not back, I think. We're pushing the bag on full lock with the bag in the furthest back position.

Actually, if they're the ones in the for sale section, they're Straight Up, rather than Up & Back. I'd be interested. Not a subscriber here, but if you posted them on themotorbikeforum dot co dot uk, I'm there all the time.
