Wanted to change the bolts that fix the exhaust to the rear subframe to s/s bolts, and of course one of them broke off. Is there a foolproof way of getting it out. And as for the others (before I break another one off),any idea of how to loosen them ...

Have used the locktite freeze spray, Halfords sell it, has done the job for me when WD 40 failed. If you have any WD40 knocking around you could just soak the threads and leave over night as a first attempt. As for getting the broken one out, if it's the one I think it is and its bust flush with the silencer drilling might be the only solution.

If you can shift the other one to remove the plate you may be lucky and be able to get mole grips on what's left. On the other hand you will probably be ok with just the one.

If I'am on the correct track  and your talking about the four bolts that secure the mounting plate to the silencer , try undoing them when you've got the exhaust good and hot after a run.... if you manage to get the other three out ok, the one that snapped off you may be able to get a grip of it by removing the can from the ex pipe and then remove the end bolts from the silencer which in turn releases the chrome outer cover, this will give you better access to the snapped bolt.:thumb2
But I may be on the wrong track.
