One of the can hanger studs sheared on my 05 GSA, could have got it out (wish I had now) but though may as well get a replacement can under warranty. As it was a warranty issue dealer had to fit it - would not bolt up to my Remus Y - was too wide a bore - only a mill or two but enough to make it so loose as to be unusable.
So decided better put the cat back for the time being - was too big for that as well. Thought maybe tolerance of can was out so tried several more - all same. Aparently the cat & can combo has been changed - as I said only by a mill or so - so a new cat was ordered, again under warranty which was fitted today & all is now fine - Except that I cant use my favourite setup of Remus Y & standard can
- unless I can shim the two together or something of the sort. And no - exhaust sealant isn't adequate as the gap is too large.
