Arrived in Margate from Edinburgh on Wed after a 500 mile run and noticed that my lovely new number plate was a bit deformed.
The run home on Sunday seems to have finished the job and now I need another number plate.
Obviously ( to me now) the exhaust is melting my number plate and leaving sooty deposits on rear indicator and pannier frames.
I saw a few bikes with extend pipes at the weekend and meant to ask but never got round to it.
Is it simply a case of getting your local welder to make up a tube and weld it onto the end of your exhaust or is there something more technical than that?
