Just picked up a 2016 GS. I'm not a big fan of the goldening or blueing on exhaust and had great success on my Faser pipes with a WD40 wipe after each ride. This doesn't seem to be working as well on the GS. Any cleaning advice?

Bin them, and get Akrapovic headers! They turn a lovely golden brown.

You will have to live with it i am afraid !
It depends really on if the pipes are chromed or stainless or titanium but with straight stainless a wipe with WD40 will assist in the colour change and its a good idea to do it early and make sure any fingerprints etc are wiped off as they will show up as uneven colouring

That looks hard core
it would certainly suit the aggressive style triple black. Still open to cleaning product suggestions though.
As has been pointed out, without something to cover the pipes completely, it's one of those things you just have to live with...
Whatever colour the pipes will eventually turn is a function of how much chromium there is in the stainless steel alloy.

Or get the Titanium versions, they turn a dark champagne colour, very nice to look at.

Cheap grade fuel also excelerates this. Always use the recommended fuel octane and not the cheap supermarket stuff.
Having looked around there is all manner of stuff on the market. Optiglanz is one, comes in a spray bottle it seems. Must be a diluted acid?

since mine has been to hilltop lot less discolouring. Runs richer / cooler now. Polished them with metal polish to get back to more original state.
