Exhaust mess

Cleaned the bike today before first service tomorrow and started the engine up to dry off last few bits of water. Went to dry ofF a few drip and wind blows drying towel onto hot chrome exhaust header. any tips on removing the mess its left? TIA.

Solvol Autosol and a lot of rubbing, I had a plastic bag blow up from the road and wrap around my header, it melted onto the pipe and looked awful, but it came off okay..as new.

Best using a damp cloth.

Forget chrome cleaners. Warm exhausts then WD40 - works a treat.

Bike had first service today and the guys in Harley showroom downstairs worked some magic on it. Their advice was as yours phil, heat up the exhaust and scrape rest off with a piece of wood. Thanks again.
