exhaust modification

this muffler seems to leave both sides of the bike completely free;

anyone here got one ?

I myself do not like it very much; what do you think ?

I don't know if you read Dutch, Marco, but there have been a number of threads about this on the Dutch GS forum (http://www.bmwgsclub.nl/forum). There are a couple of Dutch GS'ers who have this exhaust fitted. It does clean the bike up quite a bit, and it's not very loud either. You can achieve a very similar result for yourself just by removing the silencer. The bike does not make much more noise, as the cat soaks up a lot of noise.

Water Ingress ????

With the exhaust outlet being so low, would it cause any problems crossing streams, fjords etc?

(i have no idea, just something that popped into my head as a possible potential problem???)

I think with the exhaust in any position you'd have problems crossing fjords
