Picked up my bike last week but its been standing on the previous owners drive for 8 months now. As you can see it needs alot of cleaning and tlc, any advice on cleaning the pipes. My initial thought was a wire brush but i dont want to start scrubing incase i create holes? Or would those be able to stand the brush??

Also, i noticed on saturday when i took it for a quick run there was alot of wind hitting my head, im 6"1. Any suggestions there? I've read on this site about the MRA or Tobinators. Would anyone be able to comment on these or has anyone got the above for sale?

if they cant stand a wire brush, they are fecked anyway,,,jus go for it,
my MRA is great but im 5ft 10

For exhausts, try some wheel cleaner for alloy wheels (I think it is acetic acid based, so watch where you spray, brush it)
Failing that or if it doeesn't work....caustic soda? Then wash thoroughly - see proviso above.

MRA screens are raved about. I am 6' 1" and the standard screens are fine for me on botht he standard 1150 and Adv 1150...so I don't know what all the fuss is about (unless I am yet to discover the joys of somehting I know nothing about!)

Never ridden an 1150 but I like the MRA I fitted to my 1100 - stops me having to slouch to get below the buffeting which came off the top of the original screen.

That said, the OEM 1150 screens are larger so YMMV as our American cousins would say...
