Useful as a part of a toolkit for travelling but what’s the likelihood you’ll need to remove the header pipes on a trip? Otherwise the long handled cast version is fine.
If you just need to borrow one, I can lend you one when you come over, It contacts twice as many fins as the one in the picture and takes a scaffold tube.

I had to take the heads off a few times on our trip to SA. First time in southern Europe I managed to gently tap them undone without causing any damage but put it back hand tight and it kept coming loose. Eventually ordered a full size cast one from Motorbins and spent an extra few days in Suez whilst it turned up. I would definitely take one of these lightweight ones next time - one of a very long list of tools and parts I’ll be taking on the next trip.

I’ve a very sharp bolster chisel I’ve been using for 35 years. One hit and it almost cuts through the exhaust flange, then use the exhaust spanner and it comes off without damaging the exhaust threads or drops off . Works everytime
You want the proper long handled tool. You can also use it knock out the downpipe from the head by putting the inside U section in the bend of the downpipe and whacking the end of it with a hammer.
