thing is...

An mot is one thing, but construction and use laws are something else.
A chainguard isnt reqired for an mot , but it has to be fitted for construction and use laws.
A speedo isnt tested at an mot, but is required by law, a totally confusing mishmash of laws.
I dont know wether a loud illegal exhaust gets you a fine or points on yer license or both.

Normally a fixed penalty notice & £30 fine for a loud exhaust, got done a few times on the blade. Also the same for small reg plates. The best one I ever had was a policeman stopping me for a dangerous regplate!?!?

According to him the letters were too small & that would make other road users drive too close behind me so they could read it.............
