Opinions on which Systems to go for I had a Akrapovic on my 1200gsa do I go for the same again or is there somthing else to consider thanks.

I've got an Akropovic on mine, really good build quality (but then you know that already). With the db killer in it is barely different to standard, both in terms of noise and performance. With the db killer out there is a definate boost to performance, and not exactly deafening either. I'm going to leave mine out, and just put it back when I go to the Pyrenees in July.

BTW, there's one on eBay;

I like the look of the black stainless steel cans from Beowulf! There a good price and from the UK, has anyone had any experience with them?

+1

I thought it was (unwritten bikers code/law) to leave it out :D :D

but have remus pipes with no cat, sound is rorty and very nice but not annoying. :D wakes up the lemmings :thumb2

theres much louder and anoying on the Road :blast

Detailed owners review of F800GS in April 10 issue of Visordown magazine....77 owners supplied data on their bikes of which 20 had fitted after market cans, most popular was Beowulf. Akrapovic, Remus & Scorpion all joint second. Only negative review was on Remus can.

I have a Beowulf, though sadly not the black stainless one :blast

Don't expect any exhaust to give performance boosts, they might give the impression that you're going faster but that is mostly nose psychology ...!

If they do improve things, then you'll only really see it on a dyno. I got a PC3 to go with mine, and saw an improvement of about 2/3hp -negligible really, but the Power Commander really helped with cleaning up the fuelling...

In case you're tempted, avoid the Remus in black. Chocolate paint finish scratches VERY easily.

Steel or carbon fine.

Mivv. HAS everyone forgetting this brand.

I suggest many have not recognised as they search limitedly?

As i am a Aussie (Australian) with a limited budget I can't comment budget wise, but for looks, closeness (to rear body) and carbon fiber coolness, GO MIVV.
Also carbon fiber does not transfer heat, thus it is good for luggage and temps of rear accessories,

I plan on building some pannier racks and boxes, I wish to have a MIVV exhaust so i can build the best.

Under seat photos of the front/rear mounting points of the vario racks would make all the difference

Bikinalong..

The Beowulf is a great piece of kit for the money, it's light, looks great, sounds nice and wuffly but not offensive - I use it without the baffle and it's just right. I got the plain stainless but would have been happy to spend the extra tenner on the black stainless one instead.

Second that from Mr Badger, my Remus exhaust started to flake very early on.
