Exhaust Thingy...?

Hi

Does anyone know what the 'thingy' is called that you can buy/get to clip to the end of the exhaust can?

It's like a metal collar that clips to the end of the baffle and 'funnels' the exhaust gasses away from the can.

Better still, does anyone know where I can get one, or does anyone on this site do them? I need one for my 1150 GS

it's an extension your after, touratech do them if you ask, not listed in their shop. You are better off getting one made, have a word with vern he'll probably be able to help.

I went to an exhaust place and got 15cm of a stainless tube for £5. An hour of cutting and made exactly what TT are selling. Its thick stainles it's never going to break.

Thanks for your replies.

A chance conversation with a bod at work has resulted in what I think will be an acceptable solution - one of out maintenance team has access to a vernier, lathe and lots of steel pipe... So he's kindly fabricated me something that rather neatly goes over the end.

Total cost: £0 (although I think a case of Stella is in order).

When I get a chance, I'll post a photo of the result.
