Hi,

Some advice please..

I've picked some system panniers up for my R1150R, they fit the bike fine, however.... they just touch the exhaust :blast.
The bike has a Y piece with Remus. Now I used to have a 1150 GSA with Y piece and Remus, fitted with system panniers that were close, just not this close....

Before I loosen off all the joints, add washers of spacers and adjust the exhaust (mustn't use the hammer...) and add some heat proof reflective to the pannier has anybody any advice, or 'been there done that' pearls of wisdom.

Taking off the Remus etc is not an option, as I like it, so there...:D

Slacken off the joint where the silencer meets the y piece and rotate the lower edge of the silencer towards the rear tyre as the silencer looks vertically off. Also check that the spacer in the silencer to subframe mount is fitted with the spacer side facing towards the subframe mount.

Don't ride it with the panniers fitted til you've sorted it. I did and burnt a great big hole in the pannier. Ad above, slacken the exhaust mount and add a spacer. Fit reflective material to the pannier. Remus sold an exhaust extension piece - try and get hold of one or make your own.
