Exhaust Valve Eliminator Tube

Hi, if you do another batch of these, please can you add my name to the list as well? Ta.

Can I just say, at the risk of being proved wrong and being abused of course!! I bought one of Gordon T's eliminator tubes and yes it worked perfectly with standard Headers and can, but I found it too short to work with aftermarket ( remus in my case) headers and link pipe, this was due to the the cut outs in the exhaust, when I fitted the link tube it didn't cover the cut outs all the way about 10 mm short, which allowed exhaust gas to escape through the clamps. I put in a 78mm tube and problem fixed.

akrapovic headers and end can on my 2010 GSA along with Andy T's tube and it all fits fine. no leaks nothing.
needed a few good hits from rubber mallet to get it all together but eventually got it all connected up

Does seem odd as the OE BMW valve has apparently been measured at 67mm long according to an earlier post. Surely the aftermarket pipes would be even worse in that case?

I understand what your saying Raymondo, I even refitted the BMW valve between the remus headers and link pipe and it was too short!! I checked all the fittings on the headers, they were correct and used all the adjustment on the can to try and make it fit, whatever I did it was too short. I wish I'd taken some pictures now to help explain. :blast

Surely a problem with the Remus pipes then, rather than the eliminator tube..?

Absolutely, but easier to put a longer tube in than take the whole system off and send it back!! I bought a foot of the tube on eBay and cut it to the right length. Just wanted to see if anyone else had had the same problem.
Maybe my bikes longer than everyone else's :D

2011 GSA - Standard headers (de-catted) and silencer.
I bought a link tube recently from not-so-nippy-normans and whilst it fitted perfectly diameter wise I found I had to loosen the securing band on the silencer and move it about 25mm toward the exit end and re-tighten in a different position. Had I not done this everything would have been straining on its mountings before securing everything back in place.

Received from Roymondo this morning, fitted perfectly to my NineT. Many thanks.

Went out to see what it sounded like, and a car right turned in front of me whilst I was doing 20mph, writing off the NineT. Bloke was very apologetic, just did not see me. I somersaulted down the road, landed on a grass verge fortunately. No damage to me, but rear subframe ripped off the bike, forks bent etc. It happens!

Fitted pipe Fri (real nice tight fit) Shot off to M'boro over weekend and is spot on. Don't know if anyone else had this but used to get slight hesitancy on very light throttle between 70 and 80 and now this has gone so double bonus for me. Cheers Roy :beerjug:

PM sent
Please can I have one if you have any left or are planning another batch.

Regards Dave
