Like a lot of people on this forum in this section this seems to be a very popular topic at the moment, obviously with me also hence this post :) I've been looking around at whats out there as an aftermarket full system and this seems good value for money.

Still a bit unwilling to part with my cash as I'm still a bit unsure if it will fit my bike (57 plate). Would rather ask the question here first than phone quill as I want an answer from owners as opposed to the stock "it should fit" and finding it doesn't. I seem to remember someone mentioning a problem with some aftermarket stuff fowling engine bars and/or having problems with the side or centre stand.

Seen this on Ebay and would possibly bid on it, but on closer examination seems to be no centre stand stop on the link pipe, is this a problem?

Hope my spelling and punctuation is not to bad as I'm on high strength Co-codamal and seeing double!

Thanks

Hi Tony,

I have just bought one in stainless.

It fits ok but I have some issues with it, the headers are finished in a silk stainless rather than polished, and although the end can fits well and looks great on the bike, the outlet is very close to the panniers when they are fitted.

The link pipe with my system has the stop for the centre stand fitted.

But That said I know Chris at Quill very well, I have bought several systems off him for different bikes, their stuff is normally top notch.

I have spoken to him about these issues and I am going to take a trip up to sort them out, he has offered to polish the headers to my satisfaction, and even get his engineers to make a custom link pipe to address the fit issues. They have excellent customer service and I am sure once the fit is perfected it will make a very good and well priced system. I am sure thay do two link pipes too, one for panniers and one without, once the fit is right they will be available to all and sometimes Chris will offer 10% discounts if they become advertisers or sponsors so maybe supporting that will benefit more of us here too.

I will keep you posted.

Thanks Col.

Then stop taking them fatty as your having a reaction to them if your seeing double:blast

Lucky you're my mate otherwise I'd be quite offended :P Don't understand how you can call me fatty when you're such a hopper.:bounce1
