Anyone with any advice on aftermarket pipes?
Akrapovic looks nice but my local dealer wont fit them and said bmw wont warranty the bike with them on. bos looks cheap ?

Search on here for Remus :thumb , Scorpion, Metal mule, BOS, Quill, full systems, part systems etc etc. It`s all here! As for the warranty unless its the can thats caused the failure of something surely the claim for your brake discs etc won`t be thown out? |If so go to a FRIENDLY dealer :thumb :D Fit the can yourself it`s easy enough

Thanks, the akrapovic looks great, just bothered whether it will fit with the panniers. Quite fancy some noise

Find that a bit hard to believe as BMW supply Akrapovic Exhausts themselves the BMW part no is 71.60.7.702.466

The whole point of of them suppling it, is the fact that they cover the warranty
try this link

Strewth Tuned, are they road legal or is it just a replacement collector box??? Must be f*%kin' loud.

The only exhaust carrying a BMW part number is the one PB mentions in his post, it's has a titanium casing and internals and the logo is etched on the side rather than the stick on Akra badge.

From memory the exhaust retails for £495 compared to the Akra "version" at £419 or the Akra with titanium sleeve and steel internals at £359.

Most BM dealers supply alternate exhausts such as Remus, Laser and Bos for the bike and I have yet to hear of an issue with any warranty claims because of them.

hi tuned in! where can you get THAT exhaust system :gosh and how much and how loud is it?

Hi
just had fitted by Jeffries, the full Akropovich (if thats how you spell it) racing system 2:1:2...........now the brakes need upgrading, not only does it sound awsome....deep thunder! the performance, without any :wave power commander or engine mods, has vastly improved.
Though expensive I would reccomend them to all, the only downside is the "not for road use" stamped on the end circs.

Had a bit of a trawl and found the exhaust here . Cost for an 1150 is 435 euro's, cost for a 1200 is 835 euro's :nenau You might want to try Zorstec to see what they could come up with.

Worth having a look at thier "round the world" Diesel Bike , looks like a Bm shaft drive on it.

The full akropovic system sounds good. the 2:1:2 system. I believe they are about £1100 . can you get them cheaper. and does it affect th panniers :nenau

The width of the cans are less than the stock exhaust from looking at the pictures so that should'nt be an issue.

The vario panniers have a large cut out and are not enclosed so no problems with the depth.

I'm guessing that thye should work together but unless someone has fitted them you won't know for sure.

Why not drop Akra a mail and ask?
