I've just put on a full remus system to my GS12 and I have to say inital impressions are good. Now I don't usually go in for wheelies (yes they are clever but I aint no good at them) until I put the full system on. Its hard not to wheelie coming out of a slowish second gear corners.

I had run the bike with just the can on for two weeks and this was a slight improvement over stock, without it sounding excessively loud. The full system sounds louder but I haven't done enough miles yet to say how intrusive. It has without a doubt liberated some horses and helps the bike spin up quicker.

Overall impressions; its like a great big quality and comfortable supermoto. Just hope the headers pipes take on that nice blueing effect rather than the stocks shitty brown one.

Off to Scotland West coast over weekend will let you know how I get on. Bikes done just under 1,000 miles so far.

Anyone else fitted the full system, if so what do you think?

FULL SYSTEM

SUSST,
Yes i`ve got the full Remus system on my new 1200 aswell.Apart from making the bike sound really throaty and powerfull the system has improved throttle response throughout the rev range and the bike feels quicker than the standard bike i test rode.
Did 100 miles straight off when i collected the bike and didn`t find the sound intrusive at all,in fact it was really enjoyable on the twisties listening to the deep soundtrack.
Off to Princetown on Friday so will soon find out how it sounds after three hours on the M5.even if it is at just 4000 revs.

Please feedback, may be interested in getting a full system (going to get the end can), but what does it do to the fuel consumption?

Fuel consuption

Not noticed much difference to fuel consumption, although becasue of teh sound and response I do ride the bike harder. the feeling of the front end in the air and exhaust howling is addictive.

Just back form 1200 miles over weekend and I reckon on averaging 50mpg. I dont hang about and get about 210m to a tank full. Out of interest I put 20.85 litres in at one stop and I thought it only had a 20l tank.

If taking it easy you will get 230m to a tank full.

Never mind all that the performance is greatly improved with crisp response throughout revs.

Hi

I have the full system and really appreciate the much crisper response from the bike.

Watch a couple of things though:

1.The end can is closer to the number plate -- I melted mine on a track day!
Now replaced with metal plate which is slightly offset.

2. H&B crash bars don't fit because the spacing for the down pipes is wider.

Cheers

Quentin
