EXO² StormRider Heated Vest

I have both the EXO2 Stormrider and the BMW heated jackets. The EXO2 one is far superior in build and it works well as a stand alone fleece even when switched off, also the connector is much simpler/easier to use. I will be fitting the controller this weekend and can report on it later.

which I found particularily useful. The wiring is so much neater than the BMW "50kva" cabling. I have my socket coming out between the seat and tank (taped to the Autocom lead) so that it points downwards and won't top up with water. The BMW jacket works well, shame about the bulk and quality of the wiring!

I've been using the EX02 Stormrider for a couple of years and it works well. Picked up a controller of someone on the forum which works well but as the jacket self regulates, not sure if it is really needed.

It looks a great piece of kit, very hi tec from what I have read!

One thing does put me off, the one year warranty

It's an expensive vest compared to the rest. Gerbing's vest has a lifetime warranty on the electrics, but is does look like a fishing gilet from about 1980. Still, I guess no one ever really sees it under all ya clobber!

I've also been looking at the Widder system 1, looks pretty good for the money?

Sandra, my partner, and I were in the Highlands this weekend. It was a little chilly to say the least but we were both toasty as she has an EXO2 Stormrider and I have a Klan vest. They both do the same job but the EXO2 Stormrider will last far longer than the Klan due to the quality of manufacture. IMHO the EXO2 is well worth the additional dosh.

This shows the weather conditions http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89255
