Using the search, I noticed some of you have one of these. Yep. they're really expensive, but, the technology just seems awesome. I have a Warm n Safe liner now, similar to Gerbings. It's fine, but, I don't like the fabric or feeling all the wires. Both of my jackets have really good thermal liners, so, I don't think I'd miss the heated liner too much, plus, it is a tad too small in the pits making movement a little tight. the vest would solve this. Not interested in getting into the age old debate about vest vs. liner.

Does anyone know if I could use a Heat Troller controller with it? The Heat Troller has the same coax plug as Gerbing, and, the two are interchangeable.

It seems like it just has a plug. No on/off. Optional controller, though..

Is it good enough to switch from Warm n Safe to Stormrider?

EXO2

I have one of these, brilliant bit of kit. But I don't use the controller, its just on or of which suits me fine.

I think you have to use one of their own controllers though if you want to be able to control the heat settings!!

A mate of mine is a Police motorcyclist and him and the rest of his unit use the Exo vest with the heat controller.......they love 'em:thumb

EXO2 Jacket

I have had one for a couple of years now. I also had the BMW one, which I have just given away. The EXO2 jacket is far superior, harder wearing, warmer when not switched on and, the best part, the wiring is far superior to the BMW jacket which tends to try and pull you off the seat or break the plug due to its weight!
I have the controller which I used for the first winter but then removed because the jacket is self regulating at a temperature which doesn't burn.
My son who is a ruffy tuffy Royal marine has the EXO2 gloves which he wears on his R1150R and thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread!
The cable on the EXO2 jacket is a lightweight 2 core one which coils up in the jacket pocket when not required and has a simple plug on the end.
If you are buying a heated jacket it needs to be a fairly snug fit to keep the heat next to your body.

after 2 x failed bmw jackets, i got my money back & bought an EXO.

it's lasted much better, but i do use the controller. full chat is way too hot for any cold conditions i've ever ridden in.
