EXPERIANCE WITH GIVI TREKKER BAGS

no problems!

I have a set of trekkers on mine (smaller on exhaust side, larger on other side).
I stuffed them with gear for a camping trip an they were great. Just before clipping them to the bike I'd engage the little flap mode- very handy for use en- route.
The only regret is that it does not appear possible to key the set alike.
They were nice and stable at walking pace up to 90mph. And they look ace too!

givi trekker bags

thanks ARAN for your comments, can you submit a photo or two so we can see what they look like on the f800gs? I was told by the australian importer they could be keyed alike.

Someone reported that the cylinders on the Trekker are different to standard Givi cylinders so won't fit.

Thats interesting!!. I'll have a look when I get home as I also have a Givi Maxima box and a box from a Pan European which was made by givi and looks the same... Good shout if they are incompatible though:thumb2

Just ordered a set of these for my G650GS. Apparantly, if you order them as a 'pair' (or a 'set' if you go for 3 boxes), Givi do supply them with matching locks/keys.

Having to wait a few days for mine as the dealer had a single one in stock, as did Givi, but were expecting some sets & pairs in their delivery from Italy.... hopefully, anyway, as they shut down for August, so will be out of luck until September if they dont arrive.

just had an email from the dealer selling me my Trekkers & racking.....arrived with them today, and now on a 24hr delivery, so should have them for the weekend! woo hoo!

To be honest, it's the best service I've received for a long time.......asked lots of questions both by email & phone and they didnt get funny, tired, etc etc as lots can! I know recommendations are maybe frowned upon here, but I can't praise Emma at "Motorcycle Planet" enough!
