Experience with bike covers

My current bike cover is more or less worn out. Recently I have noticed that water is leaking through it and therefore it's time for a new one now.
Has anyone experience with the original BMW motorbike tarpaulin (part no. 71607689674) for the 1150GS? Any other experiences (good and bad ones) with other manufactures?

Bike Cover

Don't know about the BMW kit but can highly recommend the covers made by Cover Craft Uk. They use a range of materials for different applications and although not cheap I have found them to be excellent. I came across these when I was looking for an outside cover for my MGB and have had two more from them since for other cars. Keep my bikes in the garage so have not used their bike versions,but understand they offer a wide range.

My Covecraft outdoor cover has started to split in a lot of places after using it for around 20 months. Expensive short term solution to ozone protection.

Got one bike under a DB cover (£45) it has lasted 3 years and has been outside all its life. At the moment covered in snow and ice. Still serviceable but starting to fade and thin in comparison with the DRY TOP one I bought the other day for the 2nd bike - MUCH better although a little dearer at £60. Thoroughly recommended and will be buying another for the replacement of the worn out DB cover when the tie comes - probably not for another year to be fair.

I'm ready for another outer cover, so will keep an eye on this thread if I may.

My bikes sleeps outside all year... the best advice I can give is use two or three covers

A bit tiresome at times I know, but the bike keeps as new. A soft cover over the bike first (old sweatshirt with arms cut off and holes sewn up over the windscreen first) then a nylon kinda waterproof cover, then over the top a heavy duty waterproof cover... it's this I need to replace now.

Only in windy weather do I throw a strap round the lot, about where the seat is, to hold everything down. This way, doesn't matter how windy it gets, the covers all stay put and there's no chaffing of the screen or paintwork

I like the idea that you can choose different colour combinations.
May I ask how much you have paid for your cover?
I have noticed there are no prices listed at their website and the model selection does not work for motorbikes unfortunately.
But they haven't failed to put a nice lady in the focus...

Good looking bike covers. I like the idea of the elasticated hems on both ends.
The only thing what would hold me back from ordering at the moment is the price of £142.

The Dry Top has soft inside for the screen, a breathing flap (covered against rain) a hole for your security lock at the front end, elasticated wheel hems, starp for under the belly......and it is about 3x as thick as the DB cover.

If someone has found anything better I would love to know for next time, or the replacement of the other cover.
