Exporting/Shipping Africa

Hello everyone.....

It has been a long time, and I need some advice if anyone can help please?

I have been away from Scotland for more than 2 years and now am working in East Africa - Rwanda to be precise. The countryside is amazing and I'm sandwiched in between Kenya,Tanzania, Uganda, DRC and Burundi...anyway, my bike has been stuck in a garage for a couple of years back in Scotland whilst I was in Pakistan and now I think it is time I got off my arse and decided to see about shipping it over.

The question is how on earth do I do this? - does anyone know anybody in Central Region who can help me out?

www.jamescargo.com would be able to sort it out I guess it's easiest to ship it to Kenya and collect from there would be my personal guess Kenya is the regional hub anyway and more developed than lots of the other places you mention.

I know some people in Kenya, who move stuff around could everything is possible it just costs money and takes time. (will ask if you'd like!)

Lo - many thanks for getting back so soon and I have already sent off a request . I think you are right about freighting it out to Kenya and picking it up from there. I guess I should also chuck in a tonne of spares too!

If you have your bike shipped over to Kenya, I would be up for riding with you back to Rwanda....

Hi Sean!

Well, I have been here since mid September last year but have spent half of that time travelling in between Beijing, Munich and Dubai (withe the odd lay over in Nairobi) - but looks like I have a bit more time in Country for at least until the Summer.
