Exta power outlets. What do you reckon?

Just saw this on the Aspid site:

I wondered, if you popped the BMW plugs on instead of the usual car ciggy lighter one you could use it on the GS.

Plug it in run the cable up under the seat and bingo three outlets.

I wondered if I could run my 2610 and a heated Klan waistcoat from it?

I'm not electic savvy where bikes are involved so this looks easy peasssie!!

Or is there a better way (and easy)?

What do you reckon?

Powerlet do a whole host of stuff, you might want a looksie. Cant recommend them highly enough.

You can get adaptors a lot cheaper from any motorway services that has a truckstop....I've got a four way one I use in the car that cost about a tenner, and the twin one I use on the bike was a fiver.

Will the single outlet handle the GPS and a heated waistcoat?

The waistcoat works fine and I cannot believe the GPS draws mutch.

The GPS draws very little. What I did was buy a Garmin cigarette lighter power lead and cut it in half. Then using Hi Fi phono plugsI reconnected it. Put a hi fi phono plug on the bike and hey presto have one cable for bike and car.

However You have voice on yours so i'd be a bit more compliquer n'est pas?

This is what I did cut the supply adapter cable 2/3rd, 1/3rd on gps end, then reconnected it with 5 pin din placed a socket just under clocks with a cable to the autocom which uses the grey plug for power supply and sound.
