Hi - have a 2013 LC GS with 20K on it. It's just come back from a punishing 5500 mile round trip to Norway in some blistering heat (obviously not in Norway!). The bike was fully loaded and ridden pretty hard throughout the 2 week journey. I've booked in the 18K service and have noticed the following issues:

- Coolant leak on right hand side casing (facing bike) from 'breather hole'. There is another thread on here that suggests this could be waterpump. Coolant was low but hasn't dropped any more since.
- Front left shock seal leaking oil - noticed the front left shock is bouncing everywhere compared to right when on the move. There was oil all around the seal and on forks.
- No pressure on rear brake pedal. The brake light activates but doesn't seem to slow / stop wheel when testing on centre stand. It'll slow down when I apply front brakes (linked). Pads are low but it's not rubbing on disc.
- Front right mirror is rattling - something broken inside it.

I deliberately took out the extended warranty before I left for my trip knowing that there may be some issues given mileage / duration. Any idea if the above items will be covered by the extended warranty and will my dealer sort it all out or expect me to contact BMW extended warranty (Mondial?) to discuss agree repair? I can't recall but may have taken the cheaper 'pay an excess' option - is this for each individual claim item or all be covered under the one service report?

Thanks

simples

wear and tear no. But maybe the water pumps covered. Did you not get the little warranty book.?

gives you all the information.

Paddy

PS good luck

Hi Jay,

The dealer will handle all the warranty stuff that is covered, just as if it was under the initial BMW warranty, I think most of it will be covered as long as the pads are not below the limit, fork seals are covered at 20k no problem, I think suspension units are covered to 30k after that its not. Frank.

Thanks for reply / advice. I may just change the rear brake pads as they do look a little low. Hopefully, Vines won't make any issues out of these little niggles!
