has anyone fitted a extra set of led lights on a gs adventura ?

I like the Touratech ones but they're stupidly expensive... there's lots of other good brands about but I don't like the look of most of them. I do like the look of the stock aux lights so I've been thinking of getting another set of these to mount below the indicators Touratech style. I've found a Chinese seller on eBay that sells these 'OEM' lights for about £100 a pair with the little Touratech lens guards and all the wiring. Will probably wire them in with a Hex EZ-Can and a soundbomb.

Hi, I ordered a set of these lights yesterday, search for 'led-blaze' & I made offer for £85, counter offer came back at £89.99 so saved a tenner. Not quick delivery tho but massive saving over the Bmw ones, I'll chuck em away if no good.

I've also been looking at the HexEzCan courtesy of the Fredaroony post on this site.

If you don't like them, please chuck them in my direction :D Having said that, I hope you get along fine with them :thumb.

Yeah they're the exact ones I was referring to. Here... let me know what you think when they arrive. Just ordered their radiator guards for my 2014 GSA LC and they look pretty good, not fitted yet though.

One advantage (I hope) is they're not wired into canbus system, they look to be wired direct without a relay (40 watt draw is minimal current) So.. hopefully all the problems with the genuine BMW ones may not be replicated.

I've had the plastic under beak lighting mount sat in my garage unused for a year, I hope they fit. (Going on a 2014 Gs Lc.

I did say hopefully..

So, are you going to wire straight to the battery? Keep us updated as I may follow!

Yes, via a relay hopefully, another thread brings info that the red/light blue wire under seat will be an ignition switched live that turns off after approx 30 seconds, that will be the trigger supply to on/off switch, so main relay live (pin 30 direct to battery through in line fuse) c

My EZCAN arrived today. Looking forward to getting it installed

How did you find the installation? Not sure how the dimmable feature works using the rotary wheel when you have the Nav working as well? Is there a way to toggle between the two?

The dimming feature works by holding the rotary wheel to the left for about 3-5 seconds. This activates the feature and does not interfere with the Nav. What i didnt test is putting the rotary wheel back to running the Nav5 but am assuming this will be a short or long hold to the right... will let you know once i have fully installed.

Install is easy. I hooked my ezCAN up in about 10 minutes just to test the lights, function and settings. I did this by plugging it in to canbus and then the battery and just ran a loose lead to the lights. The longest part of the proper installation (to be done at the weekend) will be the routing of the wiring.

It really is as easy as you see on the web site. If you click on my link in the signature, i did a very short vid of the makeshift set up as described above. :beerjug:

Very helpful - thanks. I have just bought the same lights as Stephen did above via China.

Did you buy your ez CAN via Len in ZA?

Can you tell us where you sourced the brackets from?
