I want to power a phone connection, can i go straight off the battery with a optimate charger type connection without annoying the canbus?

Also want somewhere to mount my intercom system - an old pro avi Autocom , used to have it in a tank bag and ran lead to optimate plug on battery but also had another connection running off starter on my 1150 but seems the 1200 doesnt have this. Not enough room under the seats.

Could I run a phone charger and power my autocom from the dash accesory socket if i split the connections into 2? - 2 connections running of 1 plug??

Yes. Both pull tiny amounts of power.

Is it ok to run optimate plugs direct from battery? I would say yes but....

In the left side behind the plastic panel below front seat, there is a red/black connection,I assume from battery to starter ???
Could I use this to power another optimate socket on this side?

Just worried about this canbus wotsitmaflap!
