F 650 Dakar 2004 model - Change front sprocket ?

a friend of mine has just bought one of these and wants to go trail riding , has anyone changed the front sprocket ( normally dropping one tooth in the front helps off road ) and if they have where can one be bought the sprocket that is

hi phil, not tried it myself but you can get a 15 tooth front sprocket , std is a 16 tooth about £17 from:
