Just spent the last 2 days on trying to sort out ABS unit. Had servo failure on rear circuit replaced pads and did a full flush, while there also did front both circuits. Now keep getting high pressure on front wheel circuit no matter what I do.
Very reluctant to put the body work back on as have braided lines here that will allow me to bypass the unit. Bike is an 05 gen 2 unit with servo. I do like the servo assist, but it is not reliable losing servo intermittently and can be very hair raising in traffic. System worked perfectly until the rear pads went low. 26K miles and serviced well, fluid changed by BMW 2 yrs ago.
Any ideas before I go and rip the f*cking thing out, have taken off the pipes to clean mini filters all was spotless.
Followed bleeding procedure to the letter, twice have used 2 ltrs fluid this weekend just to make sure all is clean. Have checked micro switches and wheel sensors, 911 unit just gives the same fault.

Any help much appreciated,

Cheers
Paddy

How did you manage to deal with the warning lights?
I have the modulator out of my own 2004 GS at the moment to clean filters and pressure sensors in it because of 'high pressure' reading in GS 911, modulator constantly running and warning lights going but am wondering whether to put it back in or not. The only thing that concerns me is the warning lights flashing away if I keep it out of the bike altogether. What did you do with the electrics?

I understood they check for correct operation - ie lights come on with the ignition on and off when things check OK.

Never had it checked during an MOT as the bike has to be ridden a short while so the ABS lights turn off.

take cover off clocks and get yer lasses darkest nail polish, put a dab onto the flashing leds, simples. MOT tester didnt bat an eyelid,
Use the ABS electrical unit part only for you speedo to work,
