Hi,

I am interested to know if its possible to fit the "cruise control" for the F650GS dakar with heated grips. I have seen for the standard F650GS but without the hand guards. Any advice or anyone that has done a similar modification?

Regards,

Jimmy

Position the throttle control and kill switch cluster slightly closer to each other - then you'll have cruise control every time you switch the heated grips on.
Is this what you mean? :aidan

I have one on my 1150 but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't fit my 650 also. I could check it for you at the weekend if nobody has done it yet :thumb

hi, well i guess you mean the wunderlich one?
dakar gal had/has one for sale:augie

the issue is the bar endweights are longer on heatedgrips/handguards.
the wunderlich is a short endweight.
BUT i think all you need is to get a barend weight cut down to size.:thumb

I do indeed Colt! Cant remember how much I was asking again - will have to look it up. But yes, to get it to fit with the heated grips (longer bar weights) you would need to machine an extra bit to make up for the shorter bar end that the cruise gives you - or just cut down your own bar end.

The one I have on the 1150 isn't a Wunderlich one it's from a firm in s.Africa and has a long bar end for the 1150 heated grip so that would probably work.
