F650GS side stand bypass..... Ok, there are three wires:RED, BROWN, and WHITE that are used on the side stand kill switch... I removed the kill switch (on the frame where the side stand mounts) there is a braided cable and a plastic "pigtail" connector, the three colored wires lay within the braided cable sheathing. I slid the sheathing down so that I could see the where the wires plugged into the "pigtail" I then tried jumping the wires.... after a while I found that the WHITE & BROWN jumped will disable the side stand kill switch and allow the bike to run properly... Do Not use the RED wire IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY.
USE only the BROWN & WHITE wires... I cut the "pigtail" off, stripped the wire back (BROWN/WHITE), twisted them together and I soldered them. Then I heat/shrink tubing wrapped the Brown & White leaving excess heat/shrink tubing to fold back on itself. I then slid more heat/shrink tubing and repeated the process one more time. I folded the RED wire back & heat/shrink tubing wrapped it by itself & repeated the process one more time. I put both the RED, & BROWN/WHITE together & covered them heat/shrink tubing two more times and attached them to the lower frame within the braided cable protection with zip ties. I farmer'ed it!
It runs great!!!
