f650gs uncomfortable!!!

i recently bought a 2001 f650gs, i bought a taller seat as it felt low. i'm 6 foot tall, been on a few longer rides recently and it seems mega uncomfortable. it feels like its built for someone tiny, i'm always sliding forward on the seat and then the tank pushes my legs right apart so i end up trying to pull my legs together to the tank because theyre getting blown about on the motorway. it felt lovely on my test ride. anyone else find the same problems?

may need new seat cover sounds like one you have has gone shiny and lost some frip

i had dakar model and did lot touring on it and never had issue with it but cover was a grippy type one

New cover and have the base reshaped to remove the rear bump which should stop you being pushed forward.

I'm 5' 9" in me dreams and could get both feet flat on the floor on me F650GS..

You need another bike.. either a Dakar or maybe an 800GS...

Hmmmm. Yes reshaping the foam sounds like a good idea. the cover is fine. i think i'll try that. i do find it comfy for about 15 minutes but then...

I had the same problem and reworked the seat. Its the single seat, but the principles are the same.

Get yer self a moor jock....Wife did 40k+ on her bike with the seat adorned with one.....Looks shite but does the job....
